This game has come a long way since it had started off being played only with three cards, later was played with five and much later even evolved in to a game played with seven cards. Normally though most of the families of Poker just use five cards to play the game. Many people think that Poker is only one game and is a generic term. However, the fact is that it is that Poker is actually a whole family of card games. Most of the games are based on different rules which is what differentiates them. The standard rules are the same though. The game basically includes betting and hand ranking. The winning depends on these different rules.
If you are playing poker with your friends the person who gets to deal is chosen by a disc called the dealer button. This is the way only the first person who has to deal is chosen, hence forth the chance to deal rotates among the players; On the other hand if you would be playing in a casino a professional deals out cards for every hand. However the disc or the dealer button is placed in the centre of the table and that nominates an acting dealer. this helps define the line up for betting.
